Advance Employment has created an intensive Pre-Work Training and Examination Class for all of our new employees to educate everyone on crucial work safety and product safety information in accordance with federally regulated programs. All new and returning Advance Employment employees must complete this class prior to ever stepping foot in the actual work area, as annual work and product safety training is a federal requirement. By doing this, we are assured that each individual has the knowledge and understanding about the work place to be safe and comfortable during work at all times. This is especially important for all J-1 participants, as many participants use the J-1 program to gain their first work experience, and therefore need extra education to properly appreciate the value of staying safe in their new surroundings and work tasks on a daily basis. Advance Employment's great attention to our employees' initial instruction for work place safety and regulations is the primary reason for Advance Employment's near perfect work safety record for 6 years running! Our superb work safety record proves that Advance Employment's Pre-Work Training and Examination Class is successful by keeping our employees and products safe every day by using the information they learn during the class.
Due to Advance Employment specializing in working with international university students on the J-1 work Visa program, we allow time during the class to point out and discuss many cultural differences that may be encountered in the United States work place and work force, and how they differ from the J-1 participants' home countries. This helps with a greater understanding of differences, why things may be different, and how these differences can be handled in a positive manner, therefore teaching everyone a valuable lesson in cultural tolerance, and increasing success in the work place. During the class, ample time is allowed for questions and further explanations as needed. Classes are held for groups of only 6-8 Advance Employment employees at a time in order to give each individual the attention that they deserve in order to fully understand all of the information being taught.
It is imperative that all Advance Employment employees who are J-1 participants have excellent and conversational and comprehensive English skills, or they will not have the language ability to understand all of the advanced information in the class. Again, plenty of time is given for the explanation of new words and their definitions. Work and product safety training is not only focused on the person, but on the necessary health and quality control requirements of the product due to the delicate nature of the specific products that the employees are helping to manufacture and produce. It is imperative that all employees understand how to handle themselves and the products in a clean, healthy, and safe manner in order to protect the consumer as well. Our employees are our first line of defense against product hazards, both physical and biological. Without the appropriate knowledge that is gained from the Advance Employment Pre-Work Training and Examination Class, the person, product, and consumer could be put in jeopardy from potentially un-safe or un-sanitary work place conditions. This is ultimately why the Pre-Work Training and Examination Class is administered and required not only by Advance Employment, but by the United States federal government as well. A written examination is administered by Advance Employment at the end of the class as a final assessment for each employee's own understanding of the material. If a person does not pass the examination, they are not allowed on the work site. If a person were to fail the examination, extra time to review the material will be given for as long as necessary to that particular person in order for them to appropriately pass the exam. All completed exams are kept on site, as federally required, for scheduled and random auditing purposes to stay in compliance with both federal and state agencies. No Advance Employment employee has ever failed their examination!
Real Time Work Training.
Once the Pre-Work Training and Examination Class is complete, Advance Employment employees are placed on a weekly rotating schedule as set by Advance Employment. For the first 3 days on the work site, Advance Employment employees shadow previously trained employees to learn first-hand how to properly conduct daily work tasks safely, effectively, and efficiently. Once the new employee feels comfortable with these tasks, they are given the opportunity to perform the tasks on their own with quality control and safety supervision at all times. This Real Time Work Training is paid at the regular hourly rate of other Advance Employment employees ($9.00 per hour). This is the conclusion of Advance Employment's Training and Examination Program, at which point Advance Employment employees should feel fully equipped in both knowledge and personal work experience to competently perform their designated job tasks each day for the duration of their work term with Advance Employment.
